KGO Stone presents the University Collection. A collection of 5 different sandstones that provide you with a wide range of warm earth tone colors. We have chosen to name them OXFORD sandstone, YALE sandstone, HARVARD sandstone, CAMBRIDGE sandstone and STANFORD sandstone. It’s quite simple…beauty meets brains. These sandstones do not represent the actual building stones to these exemplary learning centers, they are nevertheless our renditions to their building’s façade, building period or architectural types. Though this collection has these specific names, throughout our website you will also find other material that might also serve that very same purpose. Full depth veneer sandstone as well as thin veneer sandstone options are all available for them, fabrication options can also be met with lead times at your disposal.

KGO Oxford Sandstone exhibits dark brown and dark blue hues. It can be specified as either brown brown with some blue in it, all blue or a variation of both. This sandstone is very hard, so much so that it can easily be tumbled. Straight edge or random builders is the way to specify this material. KGO Stanford sandstone is for lack of a better explanation an above average real stone brick.  It’s not the Palo Alto brick at Stanford, but the resemblance of brick led us to name it as Stanford sandstone. Though not a true brick per se, the resemblance of it does come out. Rusty reds and deep browns are shown throughout.
